Amaravati : , Nov 20, 2018 – Three people, including two children, were killed in Saturday’s collapse of an underconstruction building in Kadiri, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.Officials stated that rescue efforts were underway to free six people trapped beneath the rubble.
15 people were left trapped beneath the rubble after the building under construction fell onto two houses adjacent to it.
Two children and a woman were killed by their rescuers.Six people were also saved by rescue workers.
Six other people were found trapped beneath the debris, and they are believed to still be alive.
The debris was being removed by rescue workers from various departments, including police, fire and emergency services.
According to officials, heavy rainfalls that have swept the area since Friday caused the collapse of the structure under construction.
Ramakrishna Prasad, Additional Superintendent of Police and Venkat Reddy, Revenue Divisional Officer were responsible for supervising the rescue and relief operations.
