Kabul, November 19, : , The first shipment of Russian humanitarian aid to Afghanistan has arrived. On Thursday, three planes carrying 36 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived at Kabul’s airport.
Afghan officials have been given the aid by the National Disaster Management Authority, (NDMA).
The Afghan officials who received the assistance expressed gratitude to Russia and asked for support from other countries at this time when Afghans face food shortages, Xinhua reported.
According to a statement by the NDMA Russia will send 108 tons of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan in three rounds.The first round arrives on Thursday and the second two are expected to arrive in the next few days.
