Ottawa, November 19, : , Canada has reported 1 827 Covid-19 new cases.This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases to 1,758,706 with 1,705,513 recovery and 29,448 deaths according to state media channels. Ontario is Canada’s most populous province, with 711 Covid-19 new cases per day and five deaths, as of Thursday, September 24, 2009.
Today’s report brought the number of confirmed lab cases in Ontario up to 609 429.This includes 9,955 deaths.
Now, the rolling average seven-day in Ontario is 597.This is an increase of 532 from last week.At least 278 Covid-19-injured patients are currently in Ontario, with 129 of them being admitted to the ICU.
On Thursday there were 711 cases, of which 322 occurred in unvaccinated people and 314 in fully immunized people.There are 47 cases of people who have not been vaccinated and 28 others who are partly vaccinated.
Experts in health have stated that the incidence of Covid-19 infection among fully-vaccinated people will increase if more people receive both vaccine shots.The risk of developing severe Covid-19 symptoms and hospitalization is reduced by vaccination.
Ontario declared last week that it would pause the next stage of its reopening plan for at least 28 consecutive days due to an increase in the number of cases.
Thursday saw the discovery of 129 new Covid-19 cases in Ontario schools.
The infections discovered in schools included 114 cases in students and 14 in staff.One case was found in an individual who is not yet identified.
Five facilities have been closed and 589 schools are in possession of at least one case.
Quebec confirmed another 720 Covid-19 case on Thursday.
There are currently 205 people with symptoms of coronavirus in hospitals, 46 being in the ICU.
The majority of Thursday’s cases involved people who either had their first shot within the past two weeks or were new to receiving shots.
This group was responsible for 432 out of the total 720 cases and 13 out of 20 hospitalizations.
According to public health officials, people who have not been vaccinated are about 4.2 times as likely to contract Covid-19 and 15.9 percent more likely than those who have.
The virus has infected 436 804 people since the Covid-19.There were 4,19,156 cases of the virus being recovered and 11,550 deaths.
91% of Quebecers aged 12 and over have had at least one vaccine and 87% are completely vaccinated.
According to reports, the Canadian government will announce Friday that Health Canada approved Covid-19 for children between five and 11 years old.
Canada expects to accelerate delivery of 2.9 Million doses in child-sized quantities, sufficient for one dose per child aged 5-11 years.
Pfizer Canada stated that it is ready to ship the Pediatric Doses to Canada within a few hours of receiving the Health Canada approval.
