YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) president YS Sharmila said that she is temporarily postponing the ‘Praja Prasthanam’ walkathon as the MLC election code is in force in the state.YS Sharmila said that she would resume the walkathon as soon as the election code ended.
Recently, the Central Election Commission released the schedule for the MLC elections in both the Telugu states.
During her 21-day walkathon, YS Sharmila visited 150 villages in six constituencies.
She recently spoke to reporters in Kondapakagudem village in Narkatpally Mandal of Nallakonda district.Speaking on this occasion, YS Sharmila demanded the Telangana state government to buy the entire amount of paddy grain in Yasangi.
In support of the farmers, YS Sharmila announced that she would go on a 72-hour hunger strike in Hyderabad from November 12.She said that the rulers were saying that there were no problems in the state, but she explained that people had briefed her on several issues during her walkathon.
During KCR’s seven-year rule, 8,000 farmers committed suicide.YS Sharmila promised jobs, waiver of farmers’ bank loans, double bedroom houses for the poor and pensions for all the deserving.
