Telangana Police and Excise Departments have intensified inspections for cannabis in the state and at border areas.Police and excise department officials are cracking down on marijuana trading in Telangana.
All police stations across the state are conducting special searches within their purview.On this occasion, police registered a large number of cases.They are arresting cannabis cultivators and suppliers.Authorities say more than four quintals of marijuana have been seized since the CM’s KCR review on the 20th of this month.
Police and Excise Departments have intensified inspections at the borders of each district by special teams.Efforts are also being made to crackdown on marijuana smugglers at inter-state borders.
DCPs of all zones in Hyderabad are reported to be registering 4 to 6 cannabis cases every day.
More than 2 kg of marijuana was seized in every case.According to CP Anjanikumar, 38 cases of cannabis and drugs were registered under the Hyderabad Commissionerate during the week.
Authorities said more than a quintal of cannabis was seized under the Hyderabad Commissionerate.
In Cyberabad, a special team was set up under the auspices of the DCP of the Crime Branch to crackdown on cannabis smuggling.
