The R&R Commissioner has given clarity over the package money for the eligible residents of the Polavaram project.He has made it clear to the people that the package money will be handed over to all the eligible Polavaram project residents within a month, village-wise.
However, on the other hand, the settlers brought several issues to the attention of the Commissioner and submitted petitions.The R&R Commissioner said bills amounting to about Rs 90 crore were due to the settlers.
He said that after examining the facts of those who are on the list of ineligible till now, it will be reexamined whether they are eligible or not to get the package and the process ends within ten days.
Recently, R&R Commissioner accompanied by Polavaram project administrator Anand visited several resettlement colonies in the Devipatnam zone of East Godavari district.
He visited three colonies in Pedabhimpalli, two colonies in Indukuru and Musullakunta colony built in Indukuru panchayat.
On this occasion, the R7R Commissioner examined the construction of houses, toilets, roads, drains, schools, Anganwadi, village secretariat, etc.government buildings.Later, the Commissioner visited some of the hill tribes resettlement colonies built at Neladonelapadu in the Gangavaram zone.
