Indian star Badminton player and gold medalist PV Sindhu has reached the quarter-finals of the Danish Open World Tour Super-1000 Badminton Tournament.This tournament is taking place in Odense, Denmark.

In the women’s singles pre-quarterfinals, PV Sindhu defeated Busanan Ongbamrungfon, a Thailand Badminton player, 21-16, 12-21, 21-15.PV Sindhu easily won the first game of the match that lasted for 67 minutes.

However, Busanan Ongbamrungfon bounced back in the second game to dominate PV Sindhu, scoring consecutive points.This led to the third game of the match.

PV Sindhu won the third game as well as the match.

In the men’s singles, Kidambi Srikanth and Lakshya Sen were disappointed.

In the pre-quarters, Srikanth lost 21-23, 9-21 to world number one Kento Momota, a Japanese Badminton player, and Lakshyasena 15-21, 7-21 lost to Victor Axelson, a Danish Denmark player.

In the men’s doubles, the seventh seeded Satvik Sairaj-Chirag Shetty, Indian players, 21-14, 15-21, 15-21 lost to Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin (Malaysia).

Another Indian pair MR Arjun-Dhruv Kapila 15-21, 21-17, 12-21 lost to Fazar and Alfian-Mohamed Ryan Ardianto (Indonesia).In the mixed doubles pre-quarters, the Indian duo Dhruva Kapila-Sikki Reddy 17-21, 21-19, 11-21 defeated by Tang Chunman-Tsing Suet (Hong Kong).
