TDP spokesperson Pattabhi was recently arrested by the Vijayawada Governorpeta police.He was produced before the city’s Third Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.

The trial judge agreed with the AP police arguments and remanded the accused until November 2.Pattabhi was shifted to Machilipatnam Sub Jail.

TDP spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi was arrested by Suryaravupeta police in Vijayawada on Wednesday night.Later, the police shifted Pattabhi to Thottavallur police station for making obscene remarks against Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

He was shifted from Thotlavallur police station to Vijayawada Government Hospital on Thursday morning.

The casualty medical officer, Dr Shirisha, conducted a medical examination and confirmed that Pattabhi was in good health.He later appeared for trial in the court of the third additional chief metropolitan magistrate on the premises of the civil courts.Defendant’s attorney said that police deliberately remanded Pattabhi without giving station bail.

The AP police said that the accused had spoken in the same manner earlier, and several cases had also been registered against him.After hearing arguments, the magistrate remanded the accused.Police shifted him to Machilipatnam jail.

The Governorpet police have filed a petition seeking to give them five days’ custody to investigate the case.

On the other hand, Pattabhi’s lawyer filed a petition seeking to grant bail to Pattabhi.
