Admission to engineering courses through APEAPCET results will start from the end of this month in AP.The Andhra Pradesh state education department would release more detailed information along with the schedule on the 21st of this month.
Recently, the APEAPCET Admissions Committee meeting was held at the Higher Education Council.Higher Education Council Chairman Prof.K.Hemachandra Reddy, Admissions Committee Convener, Special Commissioner of Technical Education Dr Pola Bhaskar, Council Secretary Prof.B.Sudhir Premkumar, CETS Special Officer Dr M.Sudhir Reddy and other officials were present at the meeting.
Counselling for admissions in IITs, NIITs, IIITs, etc., through JOSA will be conducted in 6 tranches.The top rankers in the APEAP CET have the best ranks in JEE Mains and Advance.
In this context, if APEAPCET counselling is conducted in the state first and seats are allotted to them, then those students who are also on merit in JEE will also get seats in IITs, NITs etc.
To avoid this, the APEAP CET counselling should take place after the end of the JEE counselling.On the 21st of this month, the Minister of State for Education, Dr Adimulapu Suresh, will finalize the APEAP CET counselling schedule.
