The NITI Aayog, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has heaped praise on the Telangana state government’s ambitious Mission Bhagiratha scheme.The NITI Aayog has lauded the Telangana state govt stating that Mission Bhagiratha is an excellent scheme.Rajiv Kumar, the vice-chairman of the Central Justice Commission, lauded the scheme on the Twitter platform.
“Telangana is the only state that provides drinking water to 100 per cent households through Mission Bhagiratha,” the NITI Aayog vice-chairman said on Twitter.The state of Telangana is providing drinking water to the people through Mission Bhagiratha to 54,06,70 houses in the state.
According to the Central Justice Commission, the target has been reached by providing drinking water to 30 lakh 96 thousand 792 houses in Haryana, 2 lakh 63 thousand 13 houses in Goa and 1 lakh 14 thousand 908 houses in Puducherry.
Boinapalli Vinod Kumar, Vice Chairman of the Telangana State Planning Commission, expressed delight over the handing over NITI Aayog response.Vinod Kumar said the scheme was a testament to the determination of CM KCR to provide clean drinking water to every household through Mission Bhagiratha.
