YSRCP MP Vijaysai Reddy issued a notice to the Rajya Sabha Chairman, Venkaiah Naidu, today.Based on Rule 267 of the Upper house, Vijaysai Reddy issued a notice to Venkaiah Naidu.

Vijayasai Reddy briefly explained that the then Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, had made several promises to Andhra Pradesh during AP state bifurcation.He recalled that Manmohan Singh said that AP would get a special status package.

In the notice, Vijayasaireddy asked the Rajya Sabha Chairman to prioritize the ‘AP Special status’ issue.Also, he appealed to Venkaiah Naidu to postpone discussions on other issues to be discussed today in the Parliament.

Vijaysai Reddy alleged that even after seven years, the Union Cabinet failed to keep its promise.Therefore, in the notice, Vijayasai Reddy appealed to the Rajya Sabha Chairman to suspend all proceedings of the House today and discuss the AP special status issue in the House.

Contrary to this, Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu has rejected the appeals of the YSRCP leaders.
