Maoist leader Katti Mohan Rao succumbed to death

An important leader in the Maoist party Katti Mohan Rao (alias Prakashanna, Damadada)recently died due to cardiac arrest.He had fallen ill for a while and has been receiving treatement.

However, according to the statement released by the Maoist party, Mohan Rao died of a heart attack at 11-20 a.m.on June 10.The Maoist party mourned the death of the Maoist leader.

Mohan Rao’s hometown is Garla village in the Bayyaram zone of Mahabubabad district.It is learned that he went underground 39 years ago.He was born into a middle-class family.He has done his Intermediate in Mahabubabad and graduated from Khammam.He has done his PG fromKakatiya University.Also, he won two gold medals.

He has an elder brother, an elder sister, a younger brother and a younger sister.He was arrested in Khammam in 1985 after joining the movement.He spent six years in prison.After his release, he resumed his activities in the Maoist movement.

he has been living anonymous life ever since.He was teaching revolutionary lessons in Dandakaranya.

The Maoist party has stated in the name of Jagan, the Maoist Telangana state spokesperson, said that it is regrettable that not able to hand over the mortal remains of Mohan Rao to his family members.
