Resident junior doctors in the state of Andhra Pradesh have initiated a strike.They have boycotted their duties.
The Junior doctors of AP issued a strike notice to the government regarding this.
It is reported that the junior doctors have initiated the strike as the negotiations with the government have failed twice.
However, the Andhra Pradesh state government is going to hold a meeting with the Junior Doctors again.The junior doctors of the state are scheduled to meet with the Minister of Health and the Principal Secretary.
Currently, the junior doctors are attending only for emergency cases at all government hospitals across the state.It is reported that the junior doctors will meet the Minister of Health and the Principal Secretary in the afternoon session.
However, the junior resident doctors initiated the strike this morning.Junior doctors have demanded the government that health insurance and ex gratia facilities be provided.
Also, they demanded incentives and asked the govt to increase security arrangements in hospitals.As part of the strike, they have boycotted duties today.
They said that they will boycott Covid emergency duties from the 12th of this month.They have asked the state government to respond immediately and address their legitimate demands.
