The Union govt has announced that the monsoon Parliament sessions of this year will begin in July.Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi made it clear that the monsoon sessions of Parliament will begin in July as per the schedule even in the wake of the ongoing second wave of the corona.

He said that the sessions of the Parliament have been shortened since the onset of the Corona outbreak and recalled that last year’s Winter Parliament sessions were cancelled due to the corona.

The monsoon meetings, which were supposed to start in July last year, began in September.

However, this time they will be held, as usual, Joshi said.He said that the authorities were working on the modalities for holding the meetings.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has asked MPs to provide details of supportive measures taken in their respective constituencies during the corona.To this extent, most of the MPs have submitted their letters to the Speaker.

Om Birla said these measures would help in developing the best practices at the national level in future.

On the other hand, Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishnamaraju penned letters to his peer MPs and sought their support on the first day of Parliament sessions.

It is reported that he has received a positive response from some of the MPs.
