Jagan ordered authorities to increase the standards of AP state Universities

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy directed the concerned authorities to raise the standards of the AP state universities.Recently, CM Jagan‌ conducted a review meeting on higher education for students in the state of Andhra Pradesh at his camp office in Thadepalli.

On this occasion, he said that the standards of all the state Universities should be improved to benefit the students and the Andhra Pradesh state universities should be at the top ten in the country.He discussed with the concerned authorities regarding the increase in standards of state Universities and ordered that the state universities should be at the higher positions in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

The CM suggested that JNTU, along with two universities (Kakinada and Anantapur), Andhra University, SV University, and Padmavati Women’s University, should try to bring IIIT’s in the state to a better position.CM Jagan inquired about the funding needed for the Universities.

Jagan ordered that special attention should also be paid to the forthcoming University of Architecture in the Kadapa district.AU is currently ranked 19th in the NIRF rankings and SV University at the 38th position.

The CM directed to focus on the steps to be taken to significantly improve the standards of the state Universities within two years.
