Ex-Indian Hockey player Ravinder Pal Singh is no more!

Ravinder Pal Singh, one of India’s hockey legends has passed away due to covid.65-year-old Ravinder Pal Singh has recovered from Covid, but his health deteriorated by the virus.

Ravinder’s family members rushed him to Vivekananda Hospital in Lucknow on April 24 when he tested corona positive.He was treated at the hospital for around two weeks.

After two weeks, he tested negative on Thursday.With this, he was shifted to the general ward.But, Ravinder Pal Singh’s health deteriorated drastically.Doctors set him on a ventilator.However, their efforts were in vain.He died this morning in the hospital.

Ravinder Pal Singh, always strived for the game.He represented India at the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

The Indian team won the Gold medal that year.Ravinder Pal Singh then competed in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

Singh, who previously played in the Junior World Cup in 1979, represented India at the Champions Trophy in Karachi, Pakistan in 1980 and 1983, the Silver Jubilee Tournament of 10 countries in Hong Kong, and the Hockey World Cup in Mumbai in 1982.

Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju mourned the death of Ravinder Pal Singh.

He praised the services rendered by Ravinder Pal Singh.
