Former Union Minister Janareddy has said that he welcomes the decision of the people of Nagarjunasagar.He thanked all those who worked hard in this by-election.

He said he had contested the Nagarjunasagar by-election for the preservation of democracy.

Janareddy said he was contesting to strengthen the Congress party cadre.

He explained that he was contesting as per the indication of party supremacy.Janareddy revealed that he contested in these elections as he had respect for Congress party supremacy decision.

According to him, Sonia Gandhi formed the new state of Telangana.He said he was contesting the elections as per the party directives.

He thanked everyone who cooperated with him, directly and indirectly in these elections.

Janareddy said that he had performed his duty as per the directions of the Congress supremacy and would not contest in elections anymore and would not make any political criticisms.

He said it was enough if his aspirations reached the people.Janareddy said he would just give advice and suggestions to the party.

TRS candidate Nomula Bhagat won the Nagarjunasagar seat in the recent by-elections with a majority of around 18,000 votes.
