Tamil filmmaker Lingusamy is well known in Telugu states for his works in ‘Run’, ‘Pandem Kodi’, and ‘Awaara’.Lingusamy made his directorial debut with the Mammootty starrer family entertainer ‘Aanandham’, which was released in 2001 and followed by successful films as ‘Run’, ‘Sandakozhi’, ‘Paiyaa’ and ‘Vettai’.
Tollywood circles have been abuzz with a possible collaboration between hero Ram and popular Kollywood director Lingusamy for the last couple of days.
The suspense has ended finally, as the ongoing buzz has been made official this morning.
The upcoming film marks Ram Pothineni’s 19th project and it will be bankrolled by Srinivasa Chitturi under his banner Srinivasa Silver Screens.This untitled film marks the maiden collaboration of both the actor and director duo.This will be Ram’s first straight Tamil film.Director Lingusamy also made it official as he took to Twitter and said, “My Next with @ramsayz brother & # Srinivasaa Chhitturi sir @SS_Screens.”
Ram who is elated to share this news with all his fans also took to Twitter and wrote, “I’ve waited a long time for this! #RAPO19 – a Telugu-Tamil Bi-lingual with one of my fav @dirlingusamy sir.Looking forward to working with the passionate Srinivasaa Chitturi garu.@SS_Screens.Love… #RAPO.” Ram Pothineni was last seen playing the dual role in the action thriller drama ‘Red’, which was a remake of the Tamil film ‘Thadam’.The details about the rest of the cast and crew will be revealed soon.
