Superstar Rajinikanth is on a break after he got hospitalized recently.The actor was shooting for his next film ‘Annaatthe’ and the shoot was put on hold from the last week of December.

There were reports claiming that Rajini would be returning to action only after six to seven months as doctors advised him to take ample rest and avoid unnecessary physical stress.Many thought ‘Annaatthe’ would be delayed indefinitely owing to Rajni’s current health condition.But that wasn’t to be.Shiva is the director of this rural entertainer and the shoot of the film resumes soon.

There have been a lot of halts on this film’s shooting with COVID restrictions and then the hero’s health conditions.The team was initially aiming for a Pongal release which is the favorite season for the Super Star.

From ‘Kuppathu Raja’ in 1979 to this year’s action thriller ‘Darbar’, Rajinikanth has often come out with releases during Pongal.Some of his major Pongal releases include ‘Baashha’ and ‘Petta’.

Though the makers initially wanted to release the film for summer, the release is pushed considering his health.The makers have now announced that ‘Annaatthe’ will hit the screens on November 4th on the occasion of Diwali.

Rajni might be returning to sets of ‘Annaatthe’ sooner than anticipated and complete the project.Tipped to be a rural drama, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Meena, and Khushbhu in key roles.Sources have disclosed that Keerthy Suresh will be playing the role of the hero’s sister.The film was officially launched last December in Chennai in a low-key affair.‘Annaatthe’ will have music by D Imman, who has previously worked with Siva in ‘Viswasam’.Siva’s standard technical collaborators, cinematographer Vetri and editor Ruben have joined him for this project as well.
