Former Telangana Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy passed away owing to respiratory issues.

He was being treated at Jubilee Hills Apollo on ventilator support and was on dialysis.The former Minister had suffered from Covid-19 earlier and recovered from it.However, he was admitted to Apollo hospitals a few days ago after the respiratory issues caught up again.Reportedly he suffered heart-stroke after he tested Covid-19 positive, and his health condition went critical from then on before he breathed his last on Thursday.

Telangana CM KCR visited the 86-year-old Nayani Narsimha Reddy at Apollo on Wednesday and consoled his family.Expressing sorrow, the Chief Minister recalled the memories of his association with Nayani Narasimha Reddy during the separate state movement and also in the state government.

Several politicians and other ministers in Telangana, including Finance Minister Harish Rao, have expressed their condolences.Narsimha Reddy was a founder leader of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), and the first Home Minister of the state between 2014 and 2018.

He was a three-time MLA from the Musheerabad constituency.He was also a minister when YSR was CM during 2005-2008.
