A five-member central team is going to size up the losses due to rains in Hyderabad.

The Central government has allotted a team of five members to visit Telangana, specifically Hyderabad to find out the size of damage caused to the properties and crops in recent heavy rains.

The Union Minister of State for Home G.Kishan Reddy has announced the details on Wednesday.

Joint secretary Praveen Vasista, R.B.Kaul (Finance Ministry), K.Manoharan (Agriculture Ministry), S.K.Kushawaha (Road Transport & Highways Ministry) and a yet-to-be-named senior official from Jala Shakti (Water Resources Ministry) will start on Thursday to visit Telangana for two days.

Speaking at a conference, Kishan Reddy said the team will tour the twin cities and districts with the State Government officials to assess the damage caused by the heavy rains and submit the report to the Central government.According to the revised norms under the NDA Government in 2015, the deceased families will get four lakh rupees each and anyone disabled during the natural calamity will get two lakh rupees.

Also, injured persons get Rs 1207, people who lost their clothes and other belongings get Rs 1800, and Rs 2000 would be given under household goods purchases.
