Bengaluru : , Nov 23, 2003 – Police in Karnataka arrested six teenagers for kidnapping and robbing an undergraduate in Bengaluru.
Deepu and Bhuvan are both classmates of the victim.

They are also BPO workers Anil Kumar and K.Prajwal.Nishchay is an engineering student.R.Prajwal was a cab driver.

Abhisheik, aged 20, was kidnapped by the accused and robbed him of Rs 70,000 in cash and his gold chains.

DCP (West), Sanjeev Pail says that the kidnapping occurred on November 18.

The accused had beaten him with a knife and then gagged him, before he was taken hostage in an SUV.The men had threatened to kill him and took him out of the city.

Also, the accused allegedly took signatures from the victim and requested that he write on stamp paper that he’d taken Rs 10 Lakh loan.

After calling his father, the kidnappers informed him that their son had taken a loan of Rs 10 lakh from them.They demanded Rs 1 lakh from him immediately to ensure his safe return.

Auto driver father had transferred Rs 45,000 from his account to son.He had taken the rest to a tea shop owner’s account and withdrew it.

Abhisheik was also left at his home that day.

Both the victim’s father and the accused have filed a complaint with police regarding this incident.They were then followed by the police and taken into custody.
