New Delhi, Aug 12 : The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of the Crime Branch of Delhi that began a week-long campaign to combat the menace of drugs has detained six people, which included two African nationals, along with drugs worth 10 crore the official said on Thursday.
The suspects were identified as Shampen Singh, Suman, Arpan a.k.a.Bablu, Vijay Kumar, and African nationals – Vitalis Chinedu and Caleb Mazie Ogbuagu.

DCP K.P.S.Malhotra said that four operations have been conducted against the drug cartel active in hotspot areas of drug trafficking — Mangolpuri-Sultanpuri and Laxmi Nagar.

A team headed by the Inspector Rakesh Duhan was able to get the tip-off and raids were carried out.

“In the initial operation, based on particular information, a robbing was conducted close to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Mangolpuri.Shampen Singh was detained with 500 grams of heroin.

Singh admitted that he operated an online gambling site.After being released from prison, he started selling heroin to make quick cash,” the police said.

In the second incident, Suman and Arpan were arrested close to Mangolpuri Industrial Area as they were attempting to deliver a consignment of goods to their accomplice.Police claimed that both were siblings.

In the third incident three times, two African nationals Chinedu and Ogbuagu were detained with 513 grams of heroin along with other substances.

Chinedu is a regular offender , and was sentenced in the course of an NDPS case by the Delhi court.

Ogbuagu was charged in an alleged cheating instance of Pune, Maharashtra.

In the fourth operation Vijay Kumar was apprehended near Peeragarhi with 200 grams of heroin.
