3000 guests are expected to witness the opening of the KV project

Varanasi (12 Dec 2012) Nearly 3000 saints and seers will be in attendance at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor (KVD), on Monday.
The renovated complex will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Deepak Agrawal (Divisional Commissioner, Chairman, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Special Area Development Board) told reporters that work on the KVD shrine is in its first phase and was ready for the inauguration.

He said, “For the mega-opening ceremony decoration work from Jalasen Ghat and Mandir Chowk to Kashi Vishwanath Temple premises is underway.”

Agrawal stated that after both phase completions of the project were completed, the Board would finally assume control of the KVD shrine.

Sunil Verma, Board Secretary, stated that there are many technicalities involved with the transfer of the project to the agency.

Each building would also be subjected to inspection for compliance.

After offering prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple, the Prime Minister will perform rituals of the formal opening of the KVD shrine area at Mandir Chowk.

Verma said that apart from floral decoration of Mandir Chowk, the seating arrangements for 3,000 invited guests has also been completed.
