Saif Hasan gave Fakhar a break after he dropped a skier deep in the water. He let the water trickle for four to make things worse.

Rizwan also received a rescue after Taskin Ahmed dropped his batsman, but was caught out by Aminul Islam in 16th over.

Fakhar Ali and Haider Ali completed all formalities, and Pakistan won with only 11 balls and 8 wickets left.

Bangladesh had lost the openers earlier, after Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah won toss.He chose to bat first.

Shaheen Afridi, who was replacing Hasan Ali in the XI, struck again early with a classic in-swinger to the right-hander.This trapping Saif Hassan infront for a golden duck.

Mohammad Naim, his fellow opener, followed him to the pavilion a bit later.

Afif Hossain scored six runs in Afridi’s next over, signalling intent.

The batters began to attack after taking the first two wickets.Najmul Hossain also kept hitting the boundaries and took Bangladesh to 36/2 during the powerplay.

Afif (21), who was trying to reverse-paddle against Shadab Khan, fell just as the batters seemed to be settling down.Despite the wicket Najmul Hossain kept playing attacking cricket, keeping the scoreboard ticking.

Skipper Mahmudullah (12), who was trying to hit the ball to third in the 12th over, fell quickly.Rizwan caught the edge of the ball into his gloves.

In the next over, Pakistan sent Najmul Hossain (44) as the second set batter. The Bangladesh batsmen were not spared by the Pakistani bowlers, who bowled tight runs to stop the run flow.
