The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission has made all the necessary arrangements for the MPTC and ZPTC election votes counting on Sunday at 206 centres across the state.The MPTC and ZPTC elections were held on April 8 this year all over Andhra Pradesh.

However, the Andhra Pradesh High court halted the counting process.For the past five and a half months since the polling on April 8 this year, the authorities, led by collectors, have taken all possible steps to ensure that ballot boxes are kept safe.

Returning officers recently provided information to all the candidates with details of the counting centres, officials said.Generators were ordered to be prepared as large-scale ballot papers had to be counted, and the counting process was likely to continue till night.

CCTV coverage will be provided during the movement of ballot boxes from the secured Room to the Counting Hall.

A total of 42,360 staff will take part in the counting of votes.

There will be 11,227 counting supervisors and 31,133 counting assistants.Apart from these, 89 persons have been appointed by the respective District Collectors as additional observers.

Command control rooms are being set up for resolving staff doubts during the counting process.
