Terrorism is often seen as one of the biggest threats to the modern world. With terror groups spreading like wildfire globally, and few global leaders supporting them for their causes, it has become extremely difficult to tackle the evil. Few countries have often paid the price for supporting terrorists, in a bid to put the neighbouring countries under unrest.
One such nation is Pakistan. Now it looks like few Indian officials are on similar lines. In a shocking revelation, the National Intelligence Agency has arrested 11 Navy officials for their alleged links with Pakistan ISI.
According to an NIA official, ‘11 Indian Navy officers joined hands with Pakistan ISI and other Pak secret agencies. They have compromised some sensitive information in return for money. We even traced the accounts of the officers who received payments from Pakistan secret agencies for exchange of information’.
As per reports, these 11 Navy officers were ‘honey trapped’, and later a Hawala operator played the middle man role in conducting this operation. Out of the 11 Navy officers, three belong to the Vishakhapatnam Eastern Naval Command, three belong to Western Naval Command, and one from Karwar Naval Base, Karnataka.
