Bengaluru, Dec 7, 2008 : .One person was killed and seven others were injured in a tragic accident that occurred when a speeding Benz car rammed into a car behind it.
Police said .
The incident took place within the boundaries of Halasuru Traffic station.Hari Mahanth, an Assam native who worked at a pub for 10 years, was the victim.The victim was identified as Hari Mahanth, an Assam native who had been working at a pub for 10 years.
Other injured persons in the accident suffered minor injuries.
According to police, the speeding Benz car had hit the car moving in front on a busy arterial road in Channasandra near Indiranagar 80 Feet Road.
The impact was such that the car that was hit, in its turn, rammed into two autos and a mini lorry.
The two cars and autos were totally damaged in the incident.
The Benz car belonged Nandita Choudary.Police have obtained the CCTV footage which clearly showed Benz car driver overspeeding.
