‘Ramayanaa’, one of the greatest of the two-epics of Indian culture.It stands by as a testament to Hindu religion even today but is being brushed-off by many stating that it’s just a work of fiction and nothing more.
‘Ramayanaa’ is attributed to be penned-down by the great Sage, Valmiki during 5000 B.C.The original book is said to contain about 7 books or ‘Kandas’ that portrays different legs of the life of Lord Rama and his biography in detail.But till now, Ramayana is considered to be just a part of literature and not a historical testament owing to lack of sufficient evidence to prove that- it actually happened.
Located in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka; this cave is tested and proven by Archaeologists to be hundred percent natural and also that its mysterious shape cannot be carved by human hands.Tradition states that, this is where Sita was held captive by the Asuras, and one can still see Cave paintings depicting the same in here.
This cave is shaped like a “giant Cobra” and is referred to as Cobra Hood cave by the natives.It’s also proven that the paintings date back to pre-Christian era which stands by the testament that, Ramayana did happen in and around the same time as quoted in Valmiki text.
This place is located right in the center of Ayodhya, India where Lord Hanuman was patiently waiting whilst Lord Ram was in exile.There exists a temple now called Hanuman Garhi.
‘Hanuman Garhi is actually a cave temple that is approachable by a flight of 76 steps.The manner in which this temple has been carved out is mesmerizing.
One has to take the curved flight of stairs to reach this spot that is said to be once inhabited by Lord Hanuman.Lord Hanuman was the escort and guard of Lord Rama during and after his campaign against Lanka.
If one goes by the legend, Hanuman lived in this cave and guarded the Janambhoomi or Ramkot.The sanctum contains the statue of Mata Anjani holding infant Hanuman on her lap.The statue itself is unimpressive and one has to struggle in dark while figuring out the statue.The faithful believe that all their wishes are granted with a visit to this holy shrine’
