 Malli Raava Movie Review-TeluguStop.com

What’s it about :

Anjali (Aakanksha Singh) calls off her wedding with Karthik (Sumanth) despite knowing each other for more than a decade and have been in love with each other.Then the narration between teenage to current times, Rajolu to Hyderabad and year 1999 to 2017.

Why they got seperated in teenage and why now? Witness their journey in theaters.

Artists and Performances :

Sumanth has delivered very natural performance.Right from his first scene, he is cool, calm and composed.Not many actors would be this controlled with many emotions coming their way.But Sumanth has done it subtly.We could say, it’s his best since Godavari.Aakanksha Singh is really a surprising package.She is beautiful both on looks side and performance side.She had portrayed Anjali quite gracefully.Hopefully, she stays here.

After ages, Tollywood has got a talented beauty making her debut.The kids Sathwik and Preethi were too good.

Technical Talk :

The album composed by Shravan Bharadwaj is bliss.The title track will come with you despite leaving theaters.

The background score syncs with soul of the film and is soulful.Cinematography could have better.Don’t know whether the makers wanted to keep it simple or ran short of fresh frames.Mixed views on editing.

The first half is almost flawless but the second looks like a drag.Production values are below par but anyhow they are not hurdles in watching a sensible movie.

Analysis :

“I only know loving you when you are beside me and living the pain when you are away”.This is the core point of the movie.So simple but yet hard hitting.Malli Is exactly the same.It’s not a larger than life love story.It’s simple but emotionally beautiful.However, it’s not a perfectly made film.With all it’s flaws, a true sensible film with sensitiveness, delicateness and mature perception.

You can’t stop loving the approach of Karthik.You can see Anjali in most of the modern age girls.Since the characters are so real, the film doesn’t look cliche.

Having said that, the back and forth screenplay might irritate filmgoers in B and C centers.It’s a good film, but for limited audience.

Plus Points :

* Sumanth and Aakanksha’s performances
* Simplistic dialogues
* hard hitting emotions

Minus Points :

* Lags here and there
* Back and forth screenplay (may not be appealing for certain sections of audience)

Brief Note :

Not everyone’s cup of tea, yet delicious

Rating : 2.75/3
