There has been a cold war going on between the producers, directors and critics.The fact is that the film makers instead of concentrating on making movies and rectifying their mistakes, they have started to keep limitations for critics and reviewers.
In the past, several producers openly opposed publishing reviews saying that the reviews are affecting their films’ collections.Now the Telugu Film Producer’s Council has come up with a press note requesting to stop reviews and asked the top sites to publish them only in weekends.
The impact of this decision will be felt in the overseas market where the audiences prefer to read the reviews before spending a minimum of $10 on their tickets.The producers wanted to mint money there and if there are no reviews, the audience will least bother about watching the film.
Also the makers wanted to cash the satellite rights too which are affected by the reviews.Even the top director Trivikram Srinivas said that negative reviews are causing confusion among the fans and showcased his displeasure over film reviews.
So, lets wait to watch what will be the result of the unexpected decision by producer’s council.
