A. S. Dileep Kumar Popularly Known his Stage Name A.R.Rahman born on 6th January 1967, is an Indian composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician. He has Won Two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, fifteen Filmfare Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South. In 1992, Rahman began his own music recording and mixing studio. In 1992, he composed the music for Roja Movie.Rahman received the Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus) award for best music director at the National Film Awards for Roja.Later, he worked for Bombay,Gentleman,Duet,Indira, Mr. Romeo and Love Birds. Then he made debut in Bollywood With Rangeela movie followed by Dil Se… Rahman composed popular scores for Rajiv Menon’s Kandukondain Kandukondain, Alaipayuthey, Ashutosh Gowariker’s Swades, Rang De Basanti.He co-scored Shekhar Kapur’s first British film, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, In 2007 and received a Best Composer Asian Film Award nomination at the Hong Kong International Film Festival for his Jodhaa Akbar score. In 2012 Rahman scored Ekk Deewana Tha and the American drama People Like Us.
