Many stories written bout Shweta Basu Prasad and the prostituion scandal she has been involved in.Swetha Basu Prasad was sent to rehabilitation center and she is now gaining sympathy from all quarters.Popular TV actress Sakahi Tanwar who played Sweta basu mother role in popular TV serial ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ lambasted media for cooking reports about Sweta Basu.Sakshi recalls fond memories of Swetha in the piece from the time she played her mother onscreen in the popular saas bahu saga ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’.
She also expresses her disgust at how the media highlighted National Award winner Shweta’s name along with her pictures but did not carry the names of Shweta’s hidden clients Sakshi says that she got calls and messages from people asking her if she has seen the news.In the news article Sakshi writes: “Honestly, I’m quite disappointed that the media reports have so selectively guarded their identity and names.I have no interest in knowing about those degenerate “businessmen”, but I would have loved to see their names come to the fore so that their families – mothers, daughters, sisters and wives – and friends would get an insight into their recreational habits.” Why the names and photographs of the businessmen not splashed all over, like the girl’s? Why have those men been granted the right to privacy and not the girl? In a country where even rapists and murderers are given the right to privacy, why has her right been violated? Why this irresponsible insensitive stand against her?” Sakshi recalled Swetha Basu wishing her on Mother’s Day since the past 13 years.She even tried to come in touch with the actress at the Rescue Home but wasn’t allowed to meet her.
