Finally there will be Tollywood flavour to PM Narendra Modi’s Swach Bharat campaign.Many were shocked when PM Narendra Modi ignored Power Star Pawan Kalyan when he challenged many celebrities to take Swach Bharat Challenge.
Now they come up with a new list and includes power star’s name.
For the two Telugu speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, there is a new bunch of 18 celebrities from various fields are chosen as brand ambassadors.
Along with Pawan, legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmayam, veteran actress Akkineni Amala, actor Nitin and lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja were also named as brand ambassadors from Tollywood.
However, the surprise pick was TRS MP and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K Kavita.
Apart from her, TDP MP from Guntur, Galla Jayadev, was the only other politician to be chosen for the clean India initiative.Several sports celebrities also nominated for the campaign.
These names will be formally announced by Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu today.
