Bloating boxoffice numbers intentionally is nothing new in film industry. It came into existence even before our present star heroes started thier career in the industry. So, we can’t blame the actors alone. But one has to agree the fact that actors are well aware of what is going on with their film.
The fake boxoffice numbers war between a Mahesh Babu film and NTR film is happening for the second time after Dookudu and Oosaravelli days. If you do remember, Dookudu producers announced a fabricated number of 50cr gross for first week and then Oosaravelli producer outsmarted the fabricated number with another imaginary figure of 56cr gross for one week.
Now, while both Spyder and Jai Lava Kusa has almost ended up the run, makers of both these films are coming with print media articles stating that their films have crossed the 150cr worldwide gross mark. But in reality, none of the two have did that. A pure publicity stunt it is.
This would nothing but dark spot on the reputation of both the actors. Gone those days, when people used to believe whatever the makers announce. Boxoffice tracking system is much more transparent today. Before we end let us tell you that, both the films are ending up loss ventures for the distributors. It’s just that, there is huge difference in the margin.
