Nagachaitanya’s Premam wasn’t a record opener in his career. It didn’t came near his 2011 release Dhada, which still happens to be his biggest opener. Ignoring the opening thing, Premam received grand welcome from the audience. It was positive word of mouth all the way. There is no big competition for the film either. Despite of so many things adding so much to the potentiality, Naga chaitanya slowed down at boxoffice.
Right from the beginning, collections weren’t up to the mark when we compare with the talk it has generated. After a good first week, Premam is under performing in Telugu states. Even in Overseas, with a overseas friendly content, the film is doing no miracles.
Premam will not enter into the blockbuster category at this pace. With Kalyan Ram’s ISM slated for 21st October release, Premam doesn’t have fair chances to pickup anymore. At this trend, Premam would mostly end up as a decent hit but not Superhit or Blockbuster. Got to feel for Naga chaitanya.
