The film released yesterday and the positive reports till the end has made it a hit.The film was produced and directed by Mani Ratnam himself and AR Rahman music added life to the film.PC Sriram handled the cinematography of the film.The interesting thing about the film is its casting.Malayalam hero Dulquer Salmaan has made his debut with the film and Nithya Menon played his love interest in the film.Finally a big break came in Mani Ratnam career with this film.
Before casting Dulquer, Mani Ratnam has approached Mega Powerstar Ram Charan with this story and narrated it too.But the actor has turned down the offer stating that he will not be a perfect choice for the film.Now the buzz is that Ram Charan missed is super hit with Ok Bangaram.The magic he failed to create with Orange would have been created with the film Ok bangaram.
Even before contacting Nithya Menon, the director approached Pooja Hegde and she also turned down the opportunity.Hope they realize now about what they have missed.
