Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth has filed a petition against a Bollywood movie “Main Hoo Rajinikanth” alleging his name has been misused without his notice.Rajini has moved the Madras high court to stop the release and screening of a film named after him .After hearing the petition, the Madras High Court has granted interim stay against the release of the movie.The case has been posted for hearing on 22 September.
In his petition, Rajinikanth said he has “never endorsed” any film or product using his name as it might “mislead his fans”.Rajini also contended that a film based on his name is a violation of his “privacy” and accused the producer of cashing on his “super hero image”.
The film is directed by Faisal Saif and stars actor Adhitya in the lead role.The court has sent a notice to the filmmakers, and is awaiting a reply.
