National Award winning director Praveen Sattaru is back with Guntur Talkies.The film has completed its shooting and is currently in the post-production mode.
In an interview to a leading media house, Praveen spoke about the film at length and surprised everyone as he revealed that the film is a comedy but not in its regular way, but it is a confusion comedy.Explaining further, Praveen said that the film has a few scenes where the frame is filled with as many as 20 actors at once, creating limitless confusion and that leads to comedy.
Taking the example of Kamal Haasan’s cult comedy classic, Michael Madana Kama Raju, Praveen said that Guntur Talkies falls into that category of humour.
Revealing a bit more about his film’s characters, Praveen said that the film is a comic mix of “Ishqiya” and “Delhi Belly” and that it is based on two men, played by a young actor called Sidhu and the senior actor Naresh, and their romantic adventures.
Shraddha Das will be seen as a fiery lady from Andhra-Chattisgarh border, while anchor Rashmi Gautham will be seen as a Rayalaseema girl.The setup and the backdrops already sound interesting and we will have to see how well the director will manage to make the film commercially good.
Apparently, Guntur Talkies is Praveen Sattaru’s most commercial film till date.
