Opposition party leaders and media always projects PM Narendra Modi as a anti-muslim. In a recent development, ex governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung commented that PM Modi is not anti-Muslim. He said that “people who oppose Modi say that he shows partiality towards minorities. But that is not true. I discussed with him for very long. He has never shown partiality towards relationship with Muslims”. He went on to talk about few controversial aspects like Triple Talaq.
He opined that Muslims should consider stopping the Triple Talaq tradition. He also felt that all the Muslim leaders and elders should sit down and discuss on the Uniform Civil Code issue also. Najeeb Jung’s latest remarks have gained so much significance ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. It is known that UP population consists fo 20% Muslims.
Najeeb Jung is known for his anti – Kejriwal stand when he was te governor of Delhi. His verbal wars with Kejriwal are popular. He is supportive to Narendra Modi when he was the Governor of Delhi. He still appears to be supporting Narendra Modi.
