Akkineni Naga chaitanya debuted way back in 2009. It’s been 7 years but the star kid hasn’t been able to go big, build fan base on his own and also earn boxoffice pull. Barring multistarrers like Manam and Tadhaka, Naga chaitanya wasn’t lethal at boxoffice. While his first hit Ye Maaya Chesave was a cost failure, he had two three average films until Premam arrived.
Irony, even with blockbuster talk, his latest outing isn’t going any great business. Though the distributors won’t be losing anything, Premam could have made huge profits for the talk it has generated on day 1. While it collected 14-15 cr share in Telugu states in 10 days, his younger Brother Akhil’s debut Akhil-The power of Jua collected the same in first three days with disaster talk.
What Naga chaitanya is pooling with blockbuster talk, Akhil raked more or less the same collections with disaster talk. Another interesting thing, Akhil’s next film would not do anything less than 40cr pre release business. Naga chaitanya’s two films will do what Akhil’s single film can. Nothing harsh, when it comes to boxoffice pull, Naga chaitanya is smaller than Akhil.
