Ace director Maniratnam’s previous, OK Kanmani ( OK Bangaram in Telugu ) has won critical appreciation in loads and boxoffice collections in Overseas and multiplexes.The film was called Bollywood material and have under performed in single screens of Telugu states and Tamil Nadu.
On a whole, it was a commercial success.Anyhow, now it’s getting remade in Hindi.
The magical pair of Aashiqui 2 , Adithya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will replace Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon in Hindi.Top producer Karan Johar will produce this venture under his own banner Dharma Productions.
