An FIR is filed against Kavitha under sections 124A, 153B and IPC 505, which are all non-bailable.Advocate Karunasagar has filed a case against Kavitha for her observation that Kashmir and Hyderabad were merged with India forcibly.

FIR filed against Kavitha under non bailable sections of IPC as the petitioner has charged that her statements are threat to national integrity.

It is evident that Kalvakuntla Kavitha made adverse comments reportedly on Kashmir issue to a National Newspaper. The same has stirred a controversy. She has allegedly compared and equated the issues of Telangana and Kashmir and argued that both were separate countries but were vehemently merged with India after Independence.

She even went to say India is claiming some parts of Kashmir which does not belong to it.

These remarks of Kavitha have shocked other political parties and leaders.A leading Pakistan daily highlighted her comments by saying “Indian lawmaker K Kavitha, who is member of Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament, has categorically stated that Jammu Kashmir and Telangana are not parts of India and New Delhi has forcibly occupied these territories.”

Will Kavitha clarify on her comments at least now as the issue is growing bigger everyday with India’s foreign affairs getting affected?
