KCR finally expanded his cabinet and Swearing-in of the new ministers took place at Raj Bhavan at 11 AM and on Tuesday.Six ministers were inducted into the cabinet, taking the total strength to 18, which is also the maximum permissible cabinet size in Telangana.
Interestingly, no woman MLA found place in state cabinet.Koppula Eshwar, tipped to be in the Cabinet, was out of race despite his supporters staging protest demanding a minister’s post to their leader.
Ministers Eetela and Harish Rao have been given the responsibility to calm down the cabinet berth anspirants.
Out of six three were recently joined the party from other parties.Ex-TDP minister Tummala was inducted into cabinet.In a bid to woo the strong Kamma vote-bank in Khammam district, KCR appears to have preferred Tummala Nageswara Rao over his fellow Velama, Jalagam Venkat Rao, from the district.
With the induction of Juppalli Krishna Rao, the chief minister’s Velama community will have the largest representation with four ministers along with the Reddy community with an equal number of ministers.
