The iron lady, puratchi thalaivi, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa left her last breath yesterday night at 11:30 PM (as per the official press release) after a long lasting fight of 73 days with the life.The 68 was admitted into Chennai Apollo Hospitals on September 22 with complaints of fever and dehydration.

She suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.

Born on 24 February 1948, Jayalalitha debuted into Filmy line in 1960 and went on becoming one of the most sought out actresses of her time in South Film Industry.

She turned politician and joined AIADMK party in 1982.Taking the office of Tamil Nadu as Chief Minister for the first time in 1991, Jayalalithaa became 11th CM and also 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th Chief Minister with the passage of time.

Tributes being paid to Jayalalithaa at Rajaji Hall in Chennai where her mortal remains have been kept.President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister have already arrived to pay floral tributes to Amma.

Rahul Gandhi will make his way today in sometime.Cremation of Jayalalithaa will take place at 4:30 PM today at Marina Beach in Chennai.
