Its known that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu made an announcement in Assembly regarding the next state capital.Chandra Babu clarified that the capital will be located near Vijayawada.
YCP leaders stalled assembly on capital issue but their supremo agreed with government decision.
Speaking about the AP capital Jagan welcomes the decision of Naidu of setting new capital in Vijayawada surroundings.
Jagan said his party had no objection to the location of the new capital and it only opposed the manner in which the decision was announced.
Jagan predicted that capital would required nearly 30,000 acres of land and assured that the YSRCP would give its constructive suggestions on the development of new capital.
He asked the state government not to destroy the agricultural lands in the name of setting up the capital.“As many as 30 to 50,000 acres of land is needed for setting up the capital.
We have no objection for setting up the capital in Krishna and Guntur districts.But, prior discussion is needed on the same,” said Y.S.Jagan.
Earlier in the day YSRCP members demanded a discussion on the AP capital in the assembly.With this, the war of words took place between the members of TDP and YSRCP.
