It sounds so immature but we Indians give a lot of importance to skin tone.We have restricted beauty to a limits where it is solely judged on the skin colour.
The more your are fair in skin tone, the more you are beautiful.This is what we get to see even in this 21st century.
Unfortunately, many of our film celebs endorse fairness cream brands, which deliberately insult dusky skin.
When Shruti Haasan was asked whether she would endorse a fairness cream in future, the answer she gave is nothing but a slap on those celeb faces who endorse fairness cream brands.She strictly said no by the following statement.
“I know how it feels when someone treats oneself low because of dusky skin.I will never endorse a fairness cream.Because, I am not that child who gives importance to skin tone.Today and tomorrow, I will be the same.I will not endorse fairness and also any alcohol brand.
These two aren’t good for us in moral and physical ways respectively”, the 30 year old actress said.
