Director Amma Rajashekar of Ranam fame is booked yesterday night at 11:30 pm in a drunk and drive case.The choreographer turned direcotr was traveling from Filmnagar to Banjara Hills in his car.Police stopped him and found him drunk.Traffic inspectors siezed the car and also filed a case against Amma,.
He was found to have consumed liquor in excess of permissible limits.The police seized his vehicle and asked him to appear before the court on Monday.
Charges on drunken driving, under Sections 185A and 130/177 (MV Act) were slapped on him.He will have to appear for a counselling session at Traffic Training Institute and later he has to appear at the IV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Somajiguda.The court will decide the penalty.Earlier to this, few celebs like Raja Ravindra, Kona Venkat and BVS Ravi were arrested in drunk and drive case.Now, Amma joined the list.
