Congress party leader and UPA chair person Sonia Gandhi has been hospitalized on Thursday evening and she was reportedly admitted in hospital for treatment of lower respiratory tract infection.
Party spokesperson and Congress leader Ajay Maken reportedly confirmed the news and said Sonia was admitted to New Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital and she was under the care of Arup Kumar Basu, senior consultant in the chest medicine department.
Sonia Gandhi was reportedly doing unwell from few days.There are no further updates over her health condition from the party sources.
Last year Sonia fell ill in Parliament during the debate of a food welfare scheme.She flew to the United States in 2011 for treatment but the party or family members never revealed her aliment details.
There were also reports that she undergoes a cancer surgery at US.
Post Surgery recovered very fast and returned to party activities.Let us hope she will recover soon this time too.
