Jabardast participant and comedian Venu was arrested by the police on Tuesday night.On a complaint lodged by the Goud community representatives, Venu was detained by the police.
He will be further produced in the court today.Few days before Venu was attacked by some unidentified persons at Film Nagar, Hyderabad on Sunday.
He was badly injured in the attack and is friends admitted him in the Apollo Hospital for treatment.After attacking the comedian leaders of the Gouda community in the city have lodged a police complaint against him and the TV show organizers for making fun of their community and their job with the skit.
Based on the complaint police investigated the matter and took Venu into custody.Earlier Goud caste leaders warned Venu earlier for cracking jokes on their community.
He did not listen to them and repeatedly poked fun at their community.Jabardasth TV episode on December 18 severely hurt the sentiments of Goud community when Venu played satires on Gouds climbing the toddy trees for tapping toddy.In retaliation, these attacks are planned.
